About Ian

Ian qualified as a solicitor in 2003. Ian became a Partner in the Firm having joined in May 2019 following a merger of Ian J. Foley & Co. Solicitors with MG Ryan & Co.  He is now the Commercial Partner with MG Ryan Kieran Murphy LLP Solicitors.

Ian has extensive and expert experience advising in areas such as Company and Business Law, Acquisitions, Shareholders Agreements, Commercial and Residential property and Bank transactions. He has developed an extensive practice in navigating clients through the process of the sale of their companies. He regularly offers specialist advice on a variety of commercial agreements including franchise agreements, consultancy agreements, license agreements and terms & conditions of business. He also advises extensively to Publican’s, Hotels and Restaurants on Liquor licensing matters. Ian has served a number of roles with the Galway Solicitors’ Bar Association most recently Vice President and Secretary.
